The JAYU Festival of the Arts (JFA) is back this December and we want you to be part of it.
JFA is a celebration of creative expression where youth artists take the lead by producing, curating, and showcasing work that is rooted in human rights, equity, and social justice. It’s your art, your voice, your story—front and centre.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We’re asking all equity-deserving youth artists and filmmakers (ages 16 – 30) of all disciplines and genres in the GTA to submit under these three categories:
Films under 30 minutes | Feature films over 60 minutes | Visual art of all disciplines and genres
If selected, your work will be featured at the festival and you’ll receive artist fees based on CARFAC guidelines.
KEY DATES
Submissions Close: October 10 | Festival Dates: December 10 - 14
Have questions? Drop into our online Information Session on

So, what do you think? Ready to bring your art to the stage, screen, or gallery?
This project is funded in part by the Government of Canada, TD Ready Commitment, Co-operators, and RBC. Thank you for helping us create opportunities like these for young artists.
We acknowledge the support of Canada Council of the Arts and their generous contribution to JFA 2025's Call for Submissions #BringingTheArtsToLife
