JAYU FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS

Now accepting artist vendor applications for the iAM Artist Market on November 26

WHAT IS JAYU FEStival of the arts?

JAYU Festival of the Arts (JFA) is a 7-day celebration of creative expression rooted in human rights and social justice, featuring films, workshops, performances, an exhibition, and an artist market. We believe art can be a tool for change by sharing human rights stories, building empathy, fostering healing and community, and sparking the conversations that help push the world toward a more equitable, loving place.

MULTI-DAY FESTIVAL

"I crawled out of my year long hiatus of being anywhere to see this happen, and it made me realize that sometimes being in the right spaces does amazing things for the spirit.”

– Artist & Attendee

iAM ARTIST MARKET VENDOR APPLICATION

As part of JAYU's Festival of the Arts, we are participating in 401 Richmond's Holiday Open House and we're looking for artists to vendor at our studio during the event! This is an opportunity for folks to come check out the 401 building and what organizations have to offer. Please fill out this form and we will reach out to accepted applicants via email once the application is closed.

Before you apply, please read the market info for your consideration:

  • Date: Thursday, November 26th @ 5 - 8PM

  • Time: While the Open House runs from 5 - 8PM, we ask that you're available from 4 - 9PM for setup and tear-down.

  • Location: JAYU - here's a video on how to find us!
Studio 380, 401 Richmond Street West Toronto, ON M8V 3A8

  • There is no fee to vendor or apply.

  • Materials: JAYU will provide tables and chairs. Each vendor will have one 23.5" x 59" (about 2ft by 5ft or 60cm by 150cm) table space available. Vendors will have to bring their own signage, labels, etc along with the items for sale.

  • REQUIRED: You must have participated in an iAM Program/iAM Action workshop before in order to apply.

  • The event is part of 401 Richmond Building's Holiday Open House, an event for the general public to see what organizations and artists in the building have to offer. As you may know, JAYU is located on the 3rd floor, which means we may not get as much foot traffic as tenants on the lower floors. Also, we've only ran this market a few times so far and we aren't known for this type of programming as of now (as such, we welcome any feedback you may have for us throughout!). While we will share the market with the community and invite folks out on top of 401 Richmond's promo, we just wanted to note this to manage expectations around the turnout.

If you have any questions, please send an email to info@jayu.ca with the subject line iAM MARKET.

thank you to our funders and sponsors!
