WORKSHOP DETAILS
SESSION 1
Bookkeeping
This interactive learning session will help self-employed artists create a personalized bookkeeping system to effectively manage their income and expenses. Participants will also learn basic bookkeeping skills to streamline tax preparation and have their questions answered in real time.
SESSION 2
Budgeting
This interactive learning session will help you understand the difference between cash flow and budgeting, equipping you to better plan your finances for the year. Learn how to manage the timing and fluctuations of your cash flow as a self-employed artist, and how to create and adjust a basic annual budget for both your personal and business income and expenses.
SESSION 3
Q&A
An open drop-in session designed to give artists the opportunity to ask questions and work on their bookkeeping systems, tax returns, budgets, and more. This space also encourages networking and peer-to-peer learning, allowing artists to share experiences and support each other on their financial literacy journey.
Attendance for each session is not mandatory but strongly encouraged as material covered in earlier sessions will be relevant to those that follow.
Please Note: Registration does not guarantee a spot in the workshops. Confirmation emails will be sent prior to each session.
