WORKSHOP DETAILS

Join us for a workshop with CARFAC Ontario, the association of visual and media artists in Ontario, on understanding your rights as an artist and how you can advocate for yourself and your peers. Led by Flora Shum, CARFAC Ontario’s Artistic Director, we will take a look at professional industry standard practices including fair pay, contract and copyright basics, and tools for negotiation. You'll leave the session with practical resources to support you in your artistic journey.

There will be a presentation followed by casual conversation in which participants are encouraged to bring and share their questions, experiences, challenges, and successes with their peers and the facilitator.

Free to attend.

Please Note: Registration does not guarantee placement in this workshop. Confirmation emails will be sent prior to the session.

If you have any inquiries please contact Sam, iAM Program Coordinator at samantha@jayu.ca
